Has your child yet been to zoo? If yes, then he will surely know how a giraffe looks like! A Giraffe is known for his very long neck and the spots on his body. The giraffe is the tallest of all animals but is of a gentle disposition, compared to its size. It is amusing to see a giraffe eating leaves from the tree without craning its neck and sometimes peeping at you from the boundary wall of his enclosure. Giraffes are mainly herbivorous. Your child will be happy to see giraffes in the rainbow land with trees. Giraffes are found in plenty in the African Savannah. Show him encyclopedias of the African Savannah region and show how giraffes thrive there. You can also introduce him to different animals through channels that are dedicated to science and geography and animal life on television. Make learning fun through this coloring page.
Noah’s Ark is the vessel in the Genesis Flood narrative (Genesis chapter 6-9). As the story goes that God gives Noah a detailed instruction to make an ark of Gopher wood and smear it inside and outside of this vessel with pitch. The ark had to have three decks with internal compartments and it should measure 300 cubits long. The roof of the ark would be finished to a cubit upward. The ark stayed afloat throughout the flood and saved Noah and his family and all the animals of the World, before it came to rest at Mount Ararat. This flood story is found in many other cultures, like the ark appears in Quran as Safina Nuh and in the earliest written Sumerian flood myth, the Epic of Ziusudra. Narrate to your child the story of Noah and look at his surprised face. Through this picture you can teach your child to be thankful to God for all the living creatures of God and also the sun, moon and the bright rainbow. All are His wonderful creations. Your child will learn the importance of prayer and will learn to respect all humans and living creatures.
All of the aforementioned benefits certainly help kids prepare for school and different kinds of classroom activities. However, there are certain things that they can learn with the help of coloring pages that can help them develop their reading and math skills. The simple act of coloring can help a child learn about lines, shapes, forms, perspective, boundaries and patterns. By learning to recognize all of those things, especially different patterns, kids actually develop pre-reading and pre-math skills, which will undoubtedly help them later in school. By focusing on coloring different drawings of a coloring page, kids learn the skill of patience. They are relaxed during the entire process of coloring and focused on every line, color and shape and every other detail needed to bring their pictures to life. By being immersed in the act of coloring, not only do they develop a great eye for detail, but they also learn how to be patient. If they are patient until they finish the picture, it will become exactly what they had in mind all along. Consequently, they will feel a great sense of accomplishment.
To make learning ‘fun’, associate it with something fun and then you can make your child master the most crucial blocks of his early learning life. Have you ever wondered how even very young kids are able to hum their favorite songs or the title track of their favorite animation series? It’s because they want to remember them, and their desire has given them an incentive to associate these songs and tracks with something they like. So, if you want to educate your child, then you have to mask it as edutainment(education + entertainment). While there may be a number of charts and games available these days online and offline, there can be nothing more fun than giving your child a pack of colors and some fun coloring sheets which they can sit with for hours.
